Adapted T'ai Chi Exercises Study Day

Aims

 

The aims of this day are to gain an understanding of:

 

- The basic principles of T'ai Chi

 

 - The benefits of T'ai Chi for health and rehabilitation

 

 - How to adapt and integrate T'ai Chi into oncology and palliative care clinical practice

 

Ros Smith is an experienced physiotherapist and has been practicing Tai Chi for 13 years both as a clinician and privately run classes in the community. She obtained her Tai Chi teaching certificate in 2004 and has taught the subject in adult education since. In 2009 she took early retirement to specialize in teaching Adapted Tai Exercise courses to health care professionals throughout the UK.

 

Ros has published two papers on adapted tai exercises and complex regional pain syndrome.
