Association for Palliative Medicine
Anorexia, Cachexia and Fatigue
Thursday 26 November 2009
at the Royal College of Physicians,
11 St Andrews Place, Regent's Park, London NW1
Anorexia, cachexia and
fatigue are common accompaniments of advanced disease, whether malignant or
non-malignant. Their presence
indicates disease progression and a worse prognosis. This conference draws together
experts from different specialties and disciplines to discuss the mechanism of
and therapeutic options for management of these symptoms. This conference is aimed at
clinicians in oncology, palliative medicine, respiratory medicine, cardiology
and neurology but will also be of interest to other healthcare professionals.
